It's amazing how close people live to the everglades. You can barely make out the structure in this photo. I love photographing this place, but I am not sure how I would feel about living right on the edge. I take issue with the mosquitoes. The alligators do not seem like much of a bother providing one is smart enough not to stand too close to the water's edge and also scans their path while walking. Whoever lives close is someone I would never want to have a run it with. You have to be a fairly rugged individual to brave this place.
